This sustainable Japanese fabric is woven from cellulose acetate filament yarn that is made in the USA. The acetate is made from wood pulp harvested from FSC certified pine and eucalyptus forests in the United States and Brazil.
Once the wood pulp is collected, it is treated with chemicals in a safe, closed loop process at a US manufacturing facility. The solvents involved in this production are recycled back into the system for reuse.
The yarn is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Product I class certified. It has also been given the "OK Biodegradable" and "OK Compost" conformity marks from Tüv Austria.
